The Scots band The Old Blind Dogs will perform a return engagement in Fallon today in the Barkley Theatre at Oats Park Art Center, Fallon.
The fiery Scots of this dynamic quintet have been called one of the best living examples of the humor, passion and majesty that imbues Celtic music.
This will be their only Nevada appearance. Doors will open at 7 p.m., performance at 8 p.m. and there will be a no-host bar. All seating is reserved and tickets are $17 for CAC members, $20 for nonmembers. Tickets are available in Fallon at Jeff's Copy Express and Postage Plus. Call (775) 423-1440.
Groups join to host barbecue event
Democratic groups from Douglas, Carson, Lyon and Storey counties will host a joint Democratic Party BBQ from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Oct. 2 at Fuji Park in Carson City.
The event will include a barbecue lunch, live entertainment by Carson City's Gale Revilla, a raffle and a no-host bar. Local Democratic candidates will also be present to speak, answer questions and discuss issues.
