Wilma Lou Groomes, 89, a Carson City resident for the past five years, died Sept. 7, 2004, in Carson City. She was born June 7, 1915, in Ukiah, Calif., to Thomas and Josephine Moore.
Among her survivors are her daughter, Vicki Hayes of Carson City; sisters Vera Lehnen and Betty Myers, both of Santa Rosa, Calif.; grandchildren Terri, Jeff, DeAnna, John and Sherrill; many great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Cremation will be at Walton's Sierra Crematory.
A service will be in California at a later date.
Walton's Chapel of the Valley is in charge of arrangements.
