A memorial service for Jack Metzger, 93, a Carson City resident for the past 28 years, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Walton's Chapel of the Valley.
Mr. Metzger died Sept. 14, 2004, in Carson City. He was born Sept. 3,1911, in Branch, N.D., to John H. and Mary Meeks Metzger.
Mr. Metzger was active at the Carson City Senior Citizens Center.
He served in the U.S. Army.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Lee, in 1982.
Among his survivors are his daughter Patricia White of Mark Tree, Ariz.; sons Donald of Louisiana and Richard of Bethel Island, Calif.; companion and close friend for 21 years, Faye Wahl of Carson City; three grandchildren; and one great-grandson.
Cremation will be at Walton's Sierra Crematory.
