Investigators are trying to determine the cause of death for a 41-year-old woman from Lyon County whose body was found Wednesday afternoon on the beach at Lake Lahontan.
"There were no obvious signs of trauma," said Lyon County Sheriff's Detective Robin Hall.
The body was found on Beach 9 by a couple walking their dog along the water's edge at about 1 p.m. Wednesday. The woman's name is being withheld pending notification of her family.
An autopsy will be performed today to determine a cause of death.
Deputies were on scene for six hours and are seeking the public's help with their investigation. Anyone with information about the case is asked to call Hall at (775) 577-5020.
