Donald Peter Girdler, 75, a Carson City resident for the past five years, died April 16, 2005, in Carson City. He was born June 9, 1929, in San Jose, Calif., to Eugene and Eleanor O'Brien Girdler.
He married Mildred Stratfull on March 25, 1950, in San Francisco.
Before moving to Carson City, he lived in Willits, Calif.
Mr. Girdler was a bartender. He enjoyed golf and bowling.
He was a member of the Lions Club.
He was preceded in death by his wife in 2000; brothers Gary, Edward, Leo, Fred and Hugh; and twin sister, Anna.
Among his survivors are his sons Donald of Reno and Tom of Carson City; daughter, Sue Maxwell of Rancho Cordova, Calif.; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
A private family gathering is planned.
Cremation will be at FitzHenry's Crematory. FitzHenry's Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
