A memorial service for Curt R. Wainuskis, 62, a Gardnerville resident for the past 16 years, will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at FitzHenry's Carson Valley Funeral Home in Gardnerville.
Mr. Wainuskis died April 16, 2005, at home. He was born Jan. 1, 1943, in Alliance, Ohio, to Albert and Merle Iddings Wainuskis.
He married Gail on July 3, 1992, in Minden.
Before moving to Gardnerville, he lived in Carson City.
Mr. Wainuskis was a truck driver. He enjoyed cooking, camping and football.
He served in the U.S. Marines.
He was preceded in death by his father in 1989 and mother in 2002 in Norco, Calif.
Among his survivors are his wife of Gardnerville; son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Lisa Blume of Canton, Ohio; daughters and sons-in-law Jodi and Jeff Hamby of Suwanee, Ga., Lori and Tim Hurley of Irwinton, Ga., and Chris and Rob McPherson of Loganville, Ga.; stepson and wife Russ and Mary Clark of Lynchberg, Va.; stepson Jeff Clark of Norco; stepdaughters and husbands Cheryl and Ed Harvey of Carson City and Terri and Kevin Delorme of Phoenix; sister, Patti Martin; 16 grandchildren; and one nephew.
Cremation will be at FitzHenry's Crematory.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary's Hospice.
