Paul John Pisciotta

Paul John Pisciotta, 96, a Sacramento resident for the past 60 years, died April 19, 2005, in Reno.

He was born Feb. 27, 1909, in Long Island, N.Y., to John Paul Pisciotta.

He graduated from high school and attended Michelangelo School of Art in New York.

Mr. Pisciotta was a building contractor, draftsman and artist. He worked for the federal government in the aircraft industry. where he developed an aircraft wing which proved to make flying safer.

He was a member of the Lions Club of Sacramento and the Romulus Club in Sacramento, and was Man of the Year in 1996.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, Frances, in 2002.

Among his survivors are his son, John of Thornton, Colo.; daughter, Elaine Colgan of Carson City; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A private family service will be held.

Inurnment will be in Walton's Carson Gardens Cemetery.

Walton's Chapel of the Valley is in charge of arrangements.
