A funeral for Ruth Olds, 77, a Carson City resident for the past 50 years, will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at FitzHenry's Chapel of Faith.
A viewing will be from 5-7 p.m. Saturday.
Mrs. Olds died Aug. 8, 2005, at her home. She was born Jan. 24, 1928, in Fallon, to George and Tootsie Breckenridge Bowser.
She graduated from Churchill County High School and Haskill Business School. Before moving to Carson City, she lived in Novato, Calif.
Mrs. Olds was an administrative assistant with the Bureau of Indian Affairs. She was a member of Capitol Baptist Church. She enjoyed bowling, gardening and spending time with her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl; sister Helen and brothers Ed and Jimmy.
Among her survivors are her daughter and son-in-law Linda and Dean Stainbrook of Carson City; sister Janet Allen; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and nephews John, Sid and Tony Greene.
Burial will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the Northern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Fernley.
