Terry B. Smith, 62, a Yerington resident for the past nine years, died Aug. 6, 2005, at South Lyon Medical Center in Yerington. He was born May 24, 1943, in Alhambra, Calif., to Barton D. and Evelyn B. Brown Smith.
He married Loretta "Lori" Brock in Ontario, Calif.
Mr. Smith worked for 30 years as reserve police commander for the West Covina Police Department in California. He also worked as a truck driver.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Among his survivors are his wife; son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Lenore of Arcadia, Calif.; daughter, Karen Dreyer of Monrovia, Calif.; three grandchildren and a niece and nephew.
A memorial service will be in November.
Cremation is under the direction of Freitas Rupracht Funeral Home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Salvation Army.
Freitas Rupracht is in charge of arrangements.
