A funeral Mass for Marjorie Rickard Becker, 83, a Carson City resident for the past 20 years, will be at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church.
Mrs. Becker died Aug. 23, 2005, in Carson City. She was born Dec. 14, 1921, in Lahaina, Maui, Hawaii, to Henry Wesley and Kathryn Vannatta Rickard.
She attended Lahainaluna High School.
She married John Mathias Becker Jr., April 2, 1942, in Fort Bliss, Texas.
Before moving to Carson City, she lived in Kailua, Hawaii.
Mrs. Becker was executive secretary for Valley of the Temples Cemetery in Hawaii. She was a volunteer worker at St. Teresa of Avila.
She was preceded in death by her husband Oct. 3, 1989, in Reno and son John Brian Kanipahu on Aug. 16, 1998, in Irvine, Calif.
Among her survivors are her son and daughter-in-law, G. Bruce and Donna of The Woodlands, Texas; brother, Wesley Henry Richard of Honolulu; grandchildren Misti Masuda, Matthew Becker, Colleen Abston, Brandon Becker and Kyle Becker; and six grandchildren.
Burial will be at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday in the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific in Honolulu, Hawaii.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church Memorial Fund.
Walton's Chapel of the Valley is in charge of arrangements.
