A celebration of life for Eloise Patricia O'Connor, 68, a Virginia City resident for the past five years, will be at 5 p.m. Sept. 3 at the Virginia City Jerky Co.
Mrs. O'Connor died Aug. 21, 205, in a Reno hospital. She was born Jan. 10, 1937, at the Long Beach Naval Hospital, Long Beach, Calif.
Before moving to Virginia City, she lived in Umpqua, Ore., for 30 years.
Mrs. O'Connor operated a gift shop and Western art gallery in Virginia City. She was active in the community and her favorite occasion was Christmas on the Comstock.
Among her survivors are her husband of 40 years, Jay; children Denise Hatch and husband Lynn of LaPine, Ore., Dennis O'Connor of Portland, Ore., Penny O'Connor/Munio and husband Pedro of Cresson, Pa., Michael and wife Maria of Coos Bay, Ore.; Brian and wife Kyoko of Poulsbo, Wash., and Shannon Miller and husband Scott of Umpqua and their children; and brother and sister-in-law Dan and Pauline Stark of Las Vegas and their children.
Walton Funeral Home, Reno, is in charge of arrangements.
