Carson boys tennis rolls past Damonte Ranch

The Carson High boys tennis team rolled to its second straight win in two matches, winning 17-1 on Thursday at Damonte Ranch. The Senators also beat Truckee 17-1 on Tuesday.


"The kids are playing well right now," Carson coach Pat Houlihan said.


Spencer Brinson, Evan Thayer and Ryan Dwyer all won 6-0 in singles and Josh Caron and Bryt Lewis, Nick Smallman and Chris Wear, Adam Houghton and Nathaniel Hamer , Grant Jeppson and Brad Cobler and Jordan Rogers and Alex Wing all won 6-0 in doubles.


Also in singles, Tom Dudley won 6-1 and Gordon Lee, Spencer Trapp and Jordan Miller all won 6-4.


In doubles, Victor Pineda and John Kane won 6-2. Carson's only loss came when James Pelz fell in a close 4-6 match.


GALENA 12, MANOGUE 6


Kevin Deller and Chris Schwartz and Matt Archer and Taylor Davis swept their doubles matches to lead the Galena boys tennis team to the win. Deller and Schwartz won 6-2, 6-0, 6-1 and Archer and Davis won 6-0, 6-1, 6-4. In singles, Wes Reimer won 6-3, Collin Davis won 6-0, 6-1 and Abe Rubenstein won 6-4.
