A memorial service for Richard Wayne Jones, 36, a six-year Carson City resident, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Carson Valley Christian Center.
Mr. Jones died Dec. 16, 2005, in Carson City. He was born Nov. 17, 1969, in Hillsboro, Ore., to Tommie W. Jones and Sylvia A. Lovelady.
Mr. Jones was a truck driver for American Ready Mix. He served in the U.S. Navy during the first Gulf War.
He was a member of the Carson Valley Christian Center, Connected and the Central Oregon Street Rods Association. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and his Harley-Davidson motorcycle.
He is survived by his parents Thomas and Sylvia Ankney of Cedarville, Calif.; grandmother, Margaret Chambers of Oklahoma; fiancee, Pamela Thompson and her son, Cody, of Carson City; daughters Kristen Jones, Marley Bartlett and Courtney Bartlett, all of Gardnerville; sisters Tina Wendel and Marcia Personette, both of Prinville, Ore.; and brother David Ankney of Beaverton, Ore.
Memorial contributions can be made to local youth-correction facilities and to his daughters in care of Sylvia Ankney, P.O. Box 424, Cedarville, CA 96104.
