Nancy Rae Farnsworth, 64, a former Gardnerville resident, died Dec. 13, 2005, in Wasilla, Alaska, after a long battle with cancer.
She was born Sept. 17, 1941, in Byron, Calif., to Donald and Dollie Farnsworth.
She lived in Gardnerville from 1986-88 before moving to Alaska.
Mrs. Farnsworth worked at Caesars Tahoe.
She was preceded in death by her father and three nephews.
Among her survivors are sons and daughters-in-law Thomas and Josie of Corvalis, Ore., and Jim and Cherie of Wasilla; daughters Nanette Heathman of Gardnerville and Katherine "Kitty" Faeo of Oklahoma City, Okla.; grandchildren Bradley, Frankie, Sarah, Isaac, Sasha, Kristy, Brittany, Merri and Laurel; mother and sisters Margaret and Susan, all of Medford, Ore., sisters Carol Providenti of Carson City, Estelle Mitchell of Eagle Point, Ore., and Patricia Pratt of Selma, Ore.; brothers Donald of Tulsa, Okla., Daryl of Visalia, Calif., Duane of Medford, Dallas of O Fallon, Mo., Dale of McMinville, Ore., and Danny of Applegate, Ore.; and many extended-family members.
A celebration of life was held at the First Baptist Church in Wasilla.
