Malcolm M. Ryals, 88, a Carson City resident for the past four years, died Dec. 20, 2005, in Carson City.
He was born Jan. 21, 1917, in Joplin, Mo., to Arthur and Mabel Ryals.
Before moving to Carson City, he lived in Brookings, Ore.
He owned the Auto Body Shop, and was a contractor and dairyman.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He was a member of the Kiwanis and Elks clubs and a volunteer sheriff's deputy.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Loreley Robbins.
Among his survivors are his children Genevieve Frederick of Carson City, John Ryals of Pioneer, Calif., Marilyn Koepenick of Chowchilla, Calif., Lynn Chapman of Santa Clara, Calif., Cyndy Cote of Santa Cruz, Calif., and Larry Robbins of Burson, Calif.; brother, Earl Ryals of Byars, Okla.; former wife, Mary Jane Howard of Merced, Calif.; 14 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Cremation will be at Walton's Sierra Crematory.
