Monalu "Mona" Rieger, 80, a Silver Springs resident for the past 19 years, died Dec. 17, 2005, at her home. She was born May 4, 1925, in Oklahoma, to Edward and Maude E. Connor Wright.
Mrs. Rieger was a legal secretary for 41 years. She enjoyed quilting and gardening. She was a member of the Orchid Society and raised several prize-winning orchids over the past 30 years.
She was preceded in death by her brother Ed Wright.
Among her survivors are her husband of 52 years, Paul Rieger, of Silver Springs; son Ross Dickey of Modesto, Calif.; daughter and son-in-law Rebecca and Michael Meyers of Silver Springs; grandchildren Robin Silvera of Merced, Calif., Amy Gonzalo of Reno, Gina Gonzalo of Sparks, and Shane Dickey of Modesto and two great-grandchildren.
A private family service will be at a later date.

Capitol City Cremation & Burial Society is in charge of arrangements.
