A memorial service for Florence "Flo" Anderson-Abbot, 86, a 37-year resident of Walker, Calif., will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Antelope Valley Community Methodist Church, Highway 395, in Coleville.
She was born Feb. 19, 1919, in Medford, Mass., to Ralph and Laura Cutter.
She grew up in Arlington, Mass., graduating from Arlington High School in 1937.
She married Charles Anderson on June 30, 1940. They moved to Long Beach, Calif., in 1954 and then to Walker in 1968.
Her husband died in 1981. She married Dale Abbot in 1997.
During World War II, she worked as a secretary.
She was an active member of the Antelope Valley Methodist Church, where she taught Sunday School for many years.
She enjoyed the mountains, the beach, animals and gardening.
She is survived by her husband; son Bruce Anderson of Nampa, Idaho; daughter Judi Roznos of Irvine, Calif.; daughter Linda Hansen of Medford, Ore., 10 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren.
Walton's Douglas County Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
