Original Couriers Trio to perform tonight

The original Couriers will perform in concert at 7 p.m. tonight at Good Shepherd Wesleyan Church, 1505 Railroad Drive.

Featuring members of the 1974 Couriers Trio - Duane Nicholson, Neil Enloe and Dave Kyllonen - the Couriers will sing of the rich history of the group, which has been performing over 50 years.

The men have received three Dove Awards from the Gospel Music Association.

Seniors' driving course set for Saturday

An AARP Driver Safety Program class is 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday at Carson City Fire Station No. 1. Attendees 55 and older completing the course will receive a certificate entitling them to an auto insurance discount. Membership in AARP is not required.

PetSmart hosts senior-cat adoptions

Adopt a senior cat from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at the PetSmart at 250 Fairview Drive in Carson City.

Chocolate stars at all-you-can-eat event

The sixth annual all-you-can-eat Feast of Chocolate will be from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday in the lobby of the Nevada State Library & Archives, 100 N. Stewart St.

Sponsored by the American Association of University Women Capital Branch proceeds from the event are used to fund scholarships.

Get a head start on bugs, weeds at seminar on Saturday

Greenhouse Garden Center will hold a seminar at 1 p.m. Saturday on "Prevention of Bugs and Weeds" for spring.

Carson Valley Pops season begins

The Carson Valley Pops Orchestra will present its first concert of its season at 7 p.m. Saturday at the CVIC Hall in Minden.
