A memorial service for Lewellys B. Van Pelt, 76, of Dayton will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at FitzHenry's Funeral Home.
Mr. Van Pelt died Feb. 19, 2005, at home. He was born April 7, 1928, in Elkins, W.Va., to Sterling and Gertie Hogan Van Pelt.
He married Beverly Shaffer.
Mr. Van Pelt was a mill worker. He was a past member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the American Legion.
He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
He was preceded in death by six brothers and two sisters.
Among his survivors are his wife and daughter and son-in-law, Lori and Jeff Lawrence, all of Dayton; son, Paul of Sharon, Pa.; sister, Clara Judd of Maryland; 11 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Cremation will be at FitzHenry's Funeral Home and inurnment will be at Hillcrest Cemetery in Hermitage, Pa.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary's Hospice.
FitzHenry's Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
