Claude W. Kendel, 95, a Carson City resident for the past 38 years, died Jan. 5, 2005, in Carson City. He was born Jan. 22, 1909, in Bingham Canyon, Utah, to Claude W. and Rae Mayne Kendel.
Mr. Kendel was a retired U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge No. 1, Free and Accepted Masons of Carson City, the Scottish Rite, the Kerak Shrine and the White Shrine.
He was preceded in death by his wives Elsie Kendel and Ruth Kendel.
Among his survivors are several nieces and nephews, including Judi Greaney of Cloverdale, Calif., and her children.
A private memorial service will be held.
Inurnment will be in Walton's Carson Gardens Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary's Hospice.
Walton's Chapel of the Valley is in charge of arrangements.
