Baxter, Jackson are honored

Galena High graduates Annie Baxter and Amy Jackson were named to the all-Western Athletic Conference academic team for the fall season.

Both play soccer at the University of Nevada. To be eligible for the all-WAC academic team, student-athletes must have maintained at least a cumulative 3.2 grade point average and played in at least 50 percent of the team's games.

Baxter, a junior, has a 3.91 grade point average in special education. Jackson, a senior, has a 3.23 G.P.A. in general studies.
