Leonor B. Ponce, 90, a Carson City resident for the past three years, died July 1, 2005, at her home.
She was born Nov. 20, 1914, in Juarez, Mexico, to Jose and Enriquetta Lopez Bustillos.
Before moving to Carson City, she lived in Southern California.
Mrs. Ponce worked as a communications supervisor for the University of California in Fullerton, Calif., for 29 years.
She enjoyed painting and drawing.
Among her survivors are her son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Stella Ponce of Whittier, Calif.; daughters and sons-in-law Maria and Sal Palman of Carson City, Sylvia and Raymond Arciniega of Las Vegas and Julie and James Miller of Running Springs, Calif.; brother, Dr. Louis Bustillos, of Encinitas, Calif.; sister, Estella Arciniega, of Placentia, Calif.; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
No service will be held.
Cremation will be at FitzHenry's Crematory. Inurnment will be at the Calvary Cemetery in Los Angeles, Calif. FitzHenry's Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
