A group of NFL, NFL Europe, AFL and CFL football players, all represented through the Victory Sports Group Agency, has donated several million dollars worth of SAT test prep programs to every student in Nevada for school year 2005-2006.

For the past several weeks, eKnowledge LLC, the maker of the $199 program, has been contacting individual districts about the donation.

The statewide PTA has also been notified. Specifically, the donation allocates 250 of the interactive video CD programs per school that will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis. To accommodate this wish, they have set up a Web site - sat.eknowledge.com - to allow parents, students, teachers, or administrators to reserve a program directly.

Enter the donation code along with their school's name and the program will be shipped to your home directly. The programs distributed through this donation have a one-year license. they are intended for the sole individual use of students on their personal home or laptop computer and are not for group or classroom instruction through the schools. Requests to receive the donated program can be placed on the Web site.

The SAT test-prep training is a two CD-ROM set that includes more than nine hours of training video and 25-40 hours of student participation. It can be used as a stand-alone complete course or as a supplement to other SAT-prep materials. Students select the training they most need and can study at their own pace by picking which of the 120 video lessons they want to view. The program also provides progress tracking and much more.

To obtain a copy of the program, parents may go to sat.eknowledge.com, click on order, enter a member code 11F86954F8 and the name of the school. The donation will cover the $199 cost for the program. The parent pays shipping and handling of $9.95. Orders will begin shipping Friday.
