A graveside service for Ted D. Bendure, 85, a Carson City resident for 38 years, will be held at 11:30 a.m. Monday at the Northern Nevada Veterans Cemetery in Fernley.

Mr. Bendure died July 8, 2005 in Carson City. He was born March 10, 1920 in Rich Hill, Mo., to Albert O. and Mary A. Bendure.

He married Pauline Bendure on Aug. 8, 1979 in Lake Tahoe.

Before moving to Carson City, he lived in Lovelock.

He was a farmer/rancher and served in the 20th Armored Division of the U.S. Army during World War II. He received the Victory Medal for his service.

He was preceded in death by his parents and seven siblings.

Among his survivors are his wife; sons and daughters-in-law Ted and Susie and Fred and Judy, all of Carson City; daughter and son-in-law Patricia "Sue" and Steve Henderson of Sparks; stepchildren Bonnie and husband, Jon, Springmeyer; John, Colleen, Lori and Kelly and wife, Lisa, Connolly; sisters Della Bailey, Dorothy Davin and Wanda Jackson; three grandchildren, 12 step-grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and 10 step-great-grandchildren.

Walton's Chapel of the Valley is in charge of arrangements.
