Wesley 'Jim' Baker

A celebration of life for Wesley "Jim" Baker, 72, a Carson City resident for the past 38 years, will be at 6 p.m. July 30 at 5150 Desert Lane in Stagecoach.

Mr. Baker died July 9, 2005, in Carson City. He was born July 31, 1932, in Washington, to Lester and Elizabeth May Cochrane Baker.

He married Patricia Vail Bryan on Feb. 23, 1974, in Dayton.

Before moving to Carson City, he lived in San Jose, Calif. Mr. Baker was a mechanic. He enjoyed fishing and camping.

He was preceded in death by his sister Sarah Price and brother Glenn Sturgeon.

Among his survivors are his wife; son Jim of Sparks; son and wife Rory and Leslie Vail of Alaska; daughter and husband, Vicki and Warren Aveiro of Stagecoach; sisters Adlene Holidy of Modesto, Calif., Joyce Klingborg of Los Gatos, Calif., and Bonnie Watrous of Carson City; brother Alfred of Dayton; and grandchildren Nathan and Jonathan Aviero and Gabrielle and Rory Vail Jr.

Capitol City Cremation and Burial Society is in charge of arrangements.
