Nicholas Janakus, 88, a Carson City resident, died July 27, 2005, in Carson City. He was born July 19, 1917, in Chicago to William and Anna Janakus.
Before moving to Carson City, he lived in Los Angeles.
Mr. Janakus owned a chrome plating business in Chicago.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Among his survivors are his sister, Jennie Janakus of Carson City; brother, Stephen Janakus of Los Angeles and nephew and wife, Roger and Cheryl Janakus of Lemont, Ill.
Burial will be at Clarendon Hills Cemetery in Darien, Ill.
Walton's Chapel of the Valley is in charge of arrangements.
