Jesus Flores Salas, 78, a Carson City resident for the past 14 years, died May 18, 2005, in Reno.
He was born April 17, 1927, in Agana, Guam, to Jose Flores and Josefa Salas.
Before moving to Carson City, he lived in Alameda, Calif.
He married Mary Louise in 1950 in Corpus Christi, Texas.
Mr. Salas served in the U.S. Navy for 20 years as an aviation storekeeper in Korea, Vietnam and the Persian Gulf.
He retired in 1969, then joined the Military Sealife Command as a civilian contractor, where he worked for 20 years, retiring in 1995.
He was preceded in death by three sisters and two brothers.
Among his survivors are his wife of Carson City; sons Jesse John of Fremont, Calif., Paul Eugene of Richmond, Calif., Edward James of Hayward, Calif., and Steven Scott of Colorado Springs, Colo.; daughters Mary Elizabeth Salas and Christine Louise Brousseau, both of Antioch, Calif., Katharine Ann Wallace of El Sobrante, Calif., Alice Jean Mayer of Grand Ronde, Ore., and Patricia Lynn Coad of Antioch; brother, Joaquin of Las Vegas; 17 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
At his request, no service will be held.
Walton's Chapel of the Valley is in charge of arrangements.
