Gordon William Hauser, 87, a three-year resident of Gardnerville died June 15, 2005, at home. He was born Aug. 27, 1917, in Dubuque, Iowa, to Verne and Fern Adlon Hauser.

He married Barbra Kirkpatrick. Before living in Gardnerville, he lived in Big Pine, Calif.

Mr. Hauser enjoyed the outdoors; hiking; fishing; arrowhead hunting;, his animals, especially his dog, Buddy; gardening; games of chance and horse racing.

Mr. Hauser worked for 24 years as a milkman for Excelsior Creamery in Orange County, Calif. He and his wife owned and operated businesses in Mammoth Lakes and Bishop.

He served in the U.S. Army.

He was preceded in death by his sister Louise and son Jim.

Among his survivors are his wife of Gardnerville, daughter and son-in-law Diana and Jack of Danville, Calif., son and daughter-in-law Steve and Beth of Laramie, Wyo.; grandson Jim; granddaughters Kate, Jayme and Barbara and two great-grandchildren.
