LC "Buck" Bennett, 76, a Mound House resident for the past 11 years, died June 20, 2005. At his request there will be no local services.
He was born May 25, 1929, to James Wyley and Ammie Bennett in Post, Texas.
Prior to living in Mound House he resided in Medford, Ore.
He married Annette West June 23, 1953, in Dallas.
Mr. Bennett served in the U.S. Air Force from 1949 to 1970. He was a pilot and maintenance officer. He received commission as second lieutenant and his aviation wings June 16, 1953, at Foster Air Force Base in Victoria, Texas. He retired with the rank of major at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base in Tucson, Ariz.
He graduated from the University of Nevada, Reno in 1980. He enjoyed family, gardening and traveling.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Elva Lee Luce and brother Wyley James Bennett.
Among his survivors are his wife, Annette of Mound House; son and daughter in-law Curtis and Grace Bennett of Chino Hills, Calif.; son Rodney Bennett of Carson City; grandsons Robert and Michael Bennett; granddaughter Katherine Darline Bennett of Chino Hills, Calif.; brother Louis Bennett of La Palma, Calif.; and several nieces and nephews.

Celebrations of life will be held in Ashland, Ore., and Dallas at later dates.
Cremation is under the direction of Capital City Memorial Cremation and Burial Society.
Burial will be at Eagle Point Veteran Memorial in Eagle Point, Ore.
