I would suggest this restaurant to all my friends, all ages

My friends and I were joined by Becky Bosshart, a reporter for the Nevada Appeal, to review the Thai Spice Kitchen. We had lunch there June 18. We asked Becky to join us because our Troop 694, was working on a Creative Cooking Interest Patch for Girl Scouts.

When first entering the Thai Spice Kitchen you are welcomed by the owner, Otto, with a friendly smile and greeting, then seated right away. There is a faint smell of exotic foods and teriyaki sauce. Parking is a little difficult to find because the Nugget is right next to the restaurant. There were three whiteboards listing the big assortments of appetizers, specials for the day and the dessert menu.

The first thing I noticed was the sushi bar and the exotic Chinese paintings. Two assortments of lighting were provided. The first was plain ceiling lights and the second were lanterns that hung from the ceiling that were located in the sushi bar.

It was a challenge to choose what you wanted to have to drink, soft drinks or different types of tea were offered. The restaurant was most crowded at noon then mellowed out. The table cloths are pictures of different platters covered by a piece of glass.

My personal favorite appetizer was the combination made of egg rolls, shrimp rolls, stuffed chicken wings and fried wontons. The restaurant was not huge but not super small. The teriyaki chicken was fabulous, the salmon was good to even though I don't really like salmon, the eggplant surprisingly tasted exotic and squishy and my face showed it.

Lastly the vegetables (carrots, green beans, peppers, cabbage) were superb, wonderful.

I would suggest this restaurant to all my friends, all ages.

The Thai Spice Kitchen is located at 111 E Telegraph, Carson City, Nevada. They deliver food locally. The number is 841-8999 and the owners are Otto and Dina . Hours of operation are 11 a.m.-9 p.m.
