A funeral service for Rose Viola MacPherson, 76, a former Carson City resident, will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at New Hope Assemblies of God in Galt, Calif., with Pastor Davis Ross officiating.
Ms. MacPherson died at her home in Galt on March 4, 2005. She was born May 23, 1928, in Brockton, Mass.
She lived in Massachusetts for 30 years, Carson City for 11 years and Napa, Calif., for 25 years before moving to Galt 20 years ago.
She worked as a seamstress and as an administrative assistant at River Oaks Elementary School.
She was a member of New Hope Assemblies of God Church, women's ministries leader and Sunday School superintendent.
She enjoyed needlepoint, sewing and socializing with close friends and neighbors.
Among her survivors are sons and daughters-in-law Daniel and Debra Wager of Nevada and Rev. Richard and Cathy Wager of Idaho; grandchildren Jonathan, Jennifer, Daniel S., Stephanie, Elizabeth, Wendy and Thomas; and great-grandchildren Brysen, Chloe and Logan.
A viewing will be held from noon-1 p.m. at the church and committal will follow at Galt Cemetery.
Ben Salas Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
