Mabel Robison Fritsche

Mabel Robison Fritsche, 95, a Carson City resident for the past eight years, died March 15, 2005, in Carson City. She was born Aug. 30, 1909, in Baker, to George and Myrtle Robison.

She graduated from White Pine High School and from Normal College in Logan, Utah.

She married Dolf Fritsche.

Before moving to Carson City, she lived in Bogota, Colombia; San Francisco; New York City; and Phoenix, where she lived for 20 years.

Mrs. Fritsche was a school teacher in Kimberly, Mountain City and other rural Nevada communities. After moving to New York, she worked in advertising and was editor of Farm Builder Magazine and vice president of Martin Steel Co.

She was preceded in death by her husband and sisters Lila Whipple and Ruth Parks.

Among her survivors are nieces Sally Mooney of Carson City and Bonnie Crosby of Las Vegas and nephews Warner Whipple of Elko and Orvis Tilby of Salem, Ore.

At her request, no service will be held. Cremation will be at Walton's Sierra Crematory.

Walton's Chapel of the Valley is in charge of arrangements.
