A service for Joanne Inez Berger Jacques, 67, a lifetime Carson City resident, will be at 11 a.m. Monday at First Presbyterian Church in Carson City.
Mrs. Jacques died May 3, 2005, in Carson City. She was born Oct. 8, 1937, in Carson City to Frank James and Marjorie Fothergill Berger.
She received a bachelor's degree in English from the University of Nevada, Reno.
She married Robert B. Jacques Jan. 24, 1955.
Mrs. Jacques taught English for 25 years at Carson High School. She was a lifelong member of the First Presbyterian Church and a 50-year member of its choir.
She was preceded in death by her ex-husband on June 29, 1999 in Reno, mother in 1976 in Carson City, father in 1994 in Carson City, and son David in 1959.
Among her survivors are her daughter and son-in-law, Mary and William Keating and son Jim, all of Carson City; sister and brother-in-law, Carol and Roger Engelhardt of Postville, Iowa; grandchildren Stephanie, Ryan, Chelsea, Frank, Mike, Katie and Joe; and extended-family members.
Memorial contributions may be made to the First Presbyterian Church Building Fund.
