Carson track announces staff

Jeb Onweiler, general manager of the AMA sanctioned Carson City Raceway at Fuji Park, is pleased to announce the following positions have been filled for the 2005 Les Schwab Tire Speedway series.


Rick Janniro, referee/race director; Robert Kline, pit steward; Terry McTimmonds, quad man/pit steward; Shane Kline, starter/flagman (backup); Eric Breeze, announcer; Chaplain Bill Colonna, faster pastor; Rachel Patrin, clerk of the course; Kim Walmer, registration and scoring; Vuki Wilson, track construction; Bob Wilson, track groomer; Tyler Ford, equipment coordinator; Chris Slabaugh, KidsZone director; Gary Roberts, media relations/scoring; Jason Straw, director of security; Jason Holmes, security; Pete Baker, EMT director; Mike Howard, infield corner worker.


Onweiler said he is still looking for a fulltime starter/flagman, photographer, two parking lot attendants, four infield corner workers and a backup announcer. He is also looking for singers for the national anthem.


CCR features AMA sanctioned Pro Speedway Motorcycles (divisions 1, 2 and 3) Pro Quad, Peewee Quad, Youth Speedway and Peewee Speedway. Pits open at 5 p.m., grandstands open at 6 and the show starts at 7.


The remaining 2005 Les Schwab Tire Speedway Series schedule is as follows: May 21, July 2, July 30, Aug. 13, Aug. 20, Oct. 8 and Oct. 22.
