James. W. Pilkington, 77, a Carson City resident for the past 18 years, died May 22, 2005, at his home in Carson City. He was born Aug. 15, 1927, in Vancouver, Wash., to John W. and Josephine Pilkington.

Mr. Pilkington worked in the aerospace industry for 30 years. He was assistant manager of Park de Maison in Carson City for the past 12 years. He enjoyed golf and traveling.

He served in the U.S. Army and the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Bertha, in 2003.

Among his survivors are daughters Cheryl P. Gross of Menlo Park, Calif., Lori Pilkington-Keating of Sunnyvale, Calif., and Krisi Pilkington of Napa, Calif., and five grandchildren.

No service is scheduled.

Cremation will be at Walton's Sierra Crematory.

Walton's Chapel of the Valley is in charge of arrangements.
