Nevada Municipal and County Clerks Institute will offer beginning and advanced professional development training in separate multi-day sessions on the University of Nevada, Reno campus in July. All sessions are at the University of Nevada, Reno, Continuing Education Building, 1041 N. Virginia St.
The Beginning Clerks Institute is July 18-22. Topics will include public administration and organization; revenue and fiscal management; budget and accounting; Nevada Open Meeting, general and administrative law; agendas, minutes and meeting administration; records management; grant writing; ethics and values; and group behavior and communications. Course fee for the Beginning Nevada Municipal and County Clerks Institute is $1,025, and includes lodging, course materials, breakfast, lunch and refreshments each day; or $750, without lodging, includes course materials, breakfast, lunch and refreshments each day.
The Advanced Clerks Institute is July 20-22. Advanced topics will include public administration and organization; technology in the clerks office; group dynamics; training techniques and presentations; election administration; grant writing; parliamentary procedure; records management; and ethics and values. Course fee for the Advanced Nevada Municipal and County Clerks Institute is $625, and includes lodging, course materials, breakfast, lunch and refreshments each day; or $460, without lodging, includes course materials, breakfast, lunch and refreshments each day.
