A service for Violet L. Suk, 73, a Carson City resident for the past 15 years, will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Walton's Chapel of the Valley.
Mrs. Suk died May 28, 2005, at home. She was born March 20, 1932, in Mississippi, to Audrice and Katie Lee Lynchard Arnold.
Before moving to Carson City, she lived in Lake Oroville, Calif.
Mrs. Suk loved birds, collectibles and antiques. She enjoyed helping people and spending time at her second home in Lake Almanor.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter; brothers Joe and James Arnold; and son Richard Neil Bohlender Jr.
Among her survivors are her son John Bohlender of Gardnerville; daughters Mary Scalmanini of Chester, Calif., and Vicki Kemp of Smith Valley, sisters Jeanette Hughes of Madison, Miss., and Lillian Seale of Matairie, La.; brother John R. Arnold of Hot Springs, Ark.; grandchildren Monica Trahan, Melanie McKenzie, Nick Bohlender, Danny Kemp and Travis Bohlender; and two great-grandchildren.

Walton's Chapel of the Valley is in charge of arrangements.
