A funeral for Leo Joseph Kozimko, 83, a Gardnerville resident for the past 43 years, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Walton's Chapel of the Valley in Carson City.

Mr. Kozimko died Nov. 1, 2005, at his home. He was born May 2, 1922, in Jersey City, N.J., to Joseph and Katherine Kozimko.

He married Mary Pacaluyko on July 12, 1947.

Mr. Kozimko worked for Sierra Pacific Power Co. for more than 30 years as a lineman and electrical inspector. He was an avid fisherman and hunter and enjoyed being outdoors. He was a member of the American Rifle Association and a volunteer firefighter.

He was a highly decorated World War II veteran from the First Infantry Division.

He was preceded in death by his wife and son-in-law Neal Buck.

Among his survivors are his son and daughter-in-law Mike and MaryAnn of Denver, Colo.; daughter Karen Buck of Minden and grandchildren Michelle Kozimko of Denver, Jennifer Buck of Reno and Michael Troutner of Minden.

Burial will be at Lone Mountain Cemetery.
