A memorial service for Ruth S. Korinek, 86, a Carson City resident for the past 29 years, will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, at Walton's Chapel of the Valley.
Mrs. Korinek died Nov. 2, 2005, in Carson City. She was born April 1, 1919, in Portsmouth, N.H., to Arthur and Nellie Gilligan Groves.
Before moving to Carson City, she lived in Azusa, Calif., for 20 years.
Mrs. Korinek was a homemaker. She enjoyed reading.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank, in 1998.
Among her survivors are son and daughter-in-law Dwight and Terri Umback of Sparks; son Kenneth Umback of Sacramento, Calif.; daughters and sons-in-law Linda and Frank Stavic of Carson City, Joyce and Gary Oberman of Silver Springs and Nancy and Don Chatham of Prescott, Ariz.; brother Arthur Groves; 14 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Cremation will be at Walton's Sierra Crematory with inurnment in Walton's Carson Gardens Cemetery.
