John Frank Dickenson, 78, a Gardnerville resident for the past eight years, died Nov. 14, 2005, in Carson City. He was born Feb. 11, 1927, in Los Angeles to Ted and Florence Edwards Dickenson.
He married Zelda Dickenson on Sept. 7, 1948.
Before moving to Gardnerville, he lived in Sun Valley, Calif.
Mr. Dickenson worked for the Department of Water and Power in California. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Among his survivors are children Joan Freeze and John R. Dickenson both of Gardnerville; sister Edith McGee of Simi Valley, Calif.; brother Charles Edwards of Carson City; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren and several extended family members.
