Fully decorated trees, wreaths and other holiday craft items donated by the community will be up for silent auction Tuesday as part of a fundraiser for the Nevada State Library and Archives.
The second Festival of Trees begins Tuesday and continues through Dec. 8. The festival helps support the Nevada State Library and Archives' Joseph Anderson Exhibit Gallery, which displays work by local and regional artists, as well as displaying the original copy of Nevada's State Constitution permanently.
In addition to bidding on trees and silent auction items in person, bids can be placed online. Photos and descriptions of each item can be seen on the State Library's Web site at www.NevadaCulture.org, and bids can be placed over the Internet.
For information on the festival, call 684-3313.
From 10 a.m.-2 p.m. on Dec. 3 children can have their photo taken with Santa Claus for free as part of the festival. The Nevada State Library and Archives is at 100 N. Stewart St. Call 684-3313
