A memorial for Laraine Marguerite Carns, 63, a Carson City resident for the past three years, will be held at Phoenix Memorial Park and Mortuary in Phoenix.
Mrs. Carns died Oct. 2, 2005, at Carson-Tahoe Hospital. She was born Dec. 16, 1941, in Albany, N.Y., to George and Marguerite Paquette Garrison. She married Allen Keith Carns on Nov. 5, 1960, in Phoenix.
Prior to living in Carson City she resided in Phoenix. She graduated high school in Albany. Mrs. Carns was a homemaker and member of the Elks Lodge in Phoenix.
She was preceded in death by her husband May 16, 1997, her father and brother George Daniel Garrison on Jan. 7, 2002. in Phoenix.
Among her survivors are her mother, Marguerite Corrine Johnson, of Phoenix; sister Carol Prout of Carson City; brothers Karl Garrison of Phoenix, Richard Garrison of Texas and Robert Garrison of Phoenix, and many extended family members.
Burial will be at Phoenix Memorial Park. FitzHenry's Funeral Home in Carson City is in charge of arrangements.
