A Northern Nevada boy allegedly abducted by his mother six months ago will be profiled on CNN's "Nancy Grace" show today.

Erik Buran, 4, has been missing since April 21, when his father Robert Buran, of Reno, went to his ex-wife's Fernley home to pick up his son and discovered the house vacant. The couple shared joint custody.

Just before the abduction, Buran had filed for sole custody of his son and had lodged a complaint with Child Protective Services alleging Karen O'Grady's boyfriend Steven Streight physically abused Erik. Since then, a Reno judge awarded Buran sole custody.

They may be traveling in a motor home and possibly headed to Texas or New Mexico.

"I hope that this will be just the first of continuing national TV coverage of the plight of my beautiful son. This is how we may find him," Buran said Monday.

He has posted his son's photograph on countless Web sites and has enlisted the help of the Klaas Kids Foundation, an organization founded by Marc Klaas, whose daughter, Polly, was abducted and murdered in California in 1993.

O'Grady is 49 years old, 5 feet 4 inches tall, with blue eyes and brown hair. She also uses the last names of Akers, Buran and Ligon.

Streight is described as 5 feet 9 inches tall with hazel eyes and brown hair. He is only wanted for questioning.

Erik is 3 feet 6 inches tall, with bluish-grey eyes, sandy blond hair and four scars on his elbow.

Anyone with information about their whereabouts is asked to call the Lyon County Sheriff's Department at (775) 577-5096.For information visit www.bringerikhome.com.

The "Nancy Grace" show airs on CNN at 5 p.m. weekdays.
