The Carson High volleyball team may have understandably not been as focused as it could have been, but still rolled to a 25-19, 25-18, 25-18 win at North Valleys on Tuesday.
Carson tuned up for a key showdown with the Sierra League's second place team, South Tahoe, at 6 p.m. Thursday at CHS in a match that will go a long way in determining the Senators' seed in the Northern 4A playoffs.
"We didn't play fabulous, but we were able to take care of business," Carson coach Shana Wilkins said.
Wilkins admitted her team was focused somewhat on Thursday. "We didn't have a lot of energy but we got the job done," she said.
Catherine Brekken had seven kills, 10 digs and one ace, Michelle Raponi had 21 digs, Courtney Katafias had 22 digs and five kills, Sandie Howard had six blocks and five kills and Lindsay Ford had 32 assists against North Valleys.
