A driver killed in a rollover accident on State Route 341 has been identified as a Dayton woman.
Trooper Todd Hartline of the Nevada Highway Patrol said Stacia Bernard, 20, was killed in the single-vehicle accident sometime Wednesday night as she headed back to Dayton from visiting friends in Virginia City.
The wreckage wasn't discovered until nearly 3 p.m. Thursday, despite it being spotted by a state worker about 5:30 a.m. who thought it was part of a collection of disabled vehicles on the property a half mile from the Chocolate Factory in Mound House.
Hartline said it appears Bernard was southbound, when she drifted onto the dirt shoulder, overcorrected, lost control and rolled several times down an embankment.
