Vivian Lebeck, a Reno resident for the past 21 years, died Sept. 6, 2005, at St. Mary's Regional Medical Center in Reno.
Before moving to Reno, she lived in Kansas and Sunnyvale, Calif.
Mrs. Lebeck was a homemaker. During World War II, she worked as a dental assistant at the Naval Air Station, Corpus Christie, Texas. She assisted in preflight dental examinations of many celebrities, including Robert Taylor and Tyrone Power. She traveled extensively during her husband's naval career and she was active in the officers' wives club and Navy Relief Society. She received several awards in recognition of her many hours of volunteer work.
Among her survivors are her husband of more than 62 years, Russell; son and daughter-in-law Gary and Toni; daughter and son-in-law Nancy and Dr. Jeffrey Upton; grandchildren Nathaniel, Lynda, Christie and Bryan of Carson City; one great-grandchild; sister, Juanita Chilson, of Clearfield, Utah, and sister-in-law, June Burtner, of Santa Rosa, Calif.
A private memorial service will be at a later date.
Walton Funeral Home, Reno, is in charge of arrangements.
