A funeral for Eleanor I. Lagerstrom, 86, a Carson City resident for the past 30 years, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at FitzHenry's Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow at Lone Mountain Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Lagerstrom died Sept. 15, 2005, in Carson City. She was born Jan. 20, 1919, in Minneapolis to Bert A. and Alice Schlsteat Bergersen.

She married Howard D. Lagerstrom on June 20, 1942, in Elgin, Ill.

Before moving to Carson City, she lived in San Diego and Elgin.

Mrs. Lagerstrom was a high school graduate.

She was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her husband in February 1980 in Carson City; sister Lillian Baker in Minneapolis and brother Russell Bergersen of Elgin.

Among her survivors are her daughters Lona Lagerstrom and Valerie Lagerstrom, both of Carson City and Mary Brackens of Citrus Heights, Calif.; sister Florence Bergersen of Chicago; two grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Nevada Humane Society.

FitzHenry's Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
