A service for Carol J. Dorfmeyer, 68, a Minden resident for the past six years, will be at 4 p.m. Sept. 30, at Shepherd of the Sierra Lutheran Church.
Mrs. Dorfmeyer died Sept. 12, 2005, in Carson City.
She was born Sept. 14, 1936, in Melvin, Iowa, to Harold and Esther Jass.
She graduated from Hartley High School in Hartley, Iowa.
She married Robert L. Dorfmeyer on Oct. 13, 1956, in Hartley.
Before moving to Minden, she lived in Garden Grove, Calif.
Mrs. Dorfmeyer was city clerk in Hawaiian Gardens, Calif.
She was a member of Shepherd of the Sierra Lutheran Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 2004; son Mitchell G. in 1999 and mother and father.
Among her survivors are her stepfather, Waldo Hansen; sons and daughters-in-law Bryan and Robin of Mesa, Ariz., and Robert and Monica of Corona, Calif.; daughter and son-in-la, Donna Kay and Jon King of Minden; daughter Barbara Dorfmeyer of Corona, Calif.; sister-in-law Madonna O'Donovan of Banning, Calif.; brother and sister-in-law Curtis and Marlene Jass of Milford, Iowa; grandchildren Derek, Matthew, Logan, Kyle, Chris, Bailey, Blythe, Michael, Janelle, Kelsey and Jimmy; and many extended-family members.
A private family inurnment will be held.
