Beauford C. 'Red' Siess

Beauford C. "Red" Siess, 85, a Wellington resident for the past year, died Sept. 25, 2005, in Carson City. He was born Oct. 9, 1919, in Polo, Mo., to Benjamin and Eula Siess.

Before moving to Wellington, he lived in El Cajon, Calif., from 1951-2004.

Mr. Siess was retired from the U.S. government.

He was a former president of the Toastmasters Club in San Diego, Calif., and a former commander of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post of La Mesa, Calif.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Coretta, and son Gary Hurley.

Among his survivors are his sons and daughters-in-law Victor and Jo An Hurley of Apache Junction, Ariz., and Bruce and Jean Siess of Wellington; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Cremation will be in Walton's Sierra Crematory.

Walton's Chapel of the Valley is in charge of arrangements.
