Michaela Gillenwater, Abby Niehoff, Kevin Dyer and Tatum Boehnke all came away with titles for the Carson Tigersharks at the Autumn Freeze Swim Meet on Friday at Minden's Carson Valley Aquatic Center.
15-year-old Boehnke won the 15-18 girls 500-yard freestyle in five minutes, 29.69 seconds, beating out teammate Barbara Perkins, who took second in 5:32.52. 15-year-old Dyer won the 15-18 boys 500 free in 5:02.52, beating out his teammate, 15-year-old Matt Grunert, who finished in 5:12.61.
Gillenwater won the 9-10 girls 200 individual medley in 2:49.74. Niehoff won the 13-14 girls 400 I.M. in 4:45.66. Other top finishes for the Tigersharks were:
Samantha Ashmore, fourth, 15-18 girls 400 I.M., 5:321.33; Julie Asire, fifth, 15-18 girls 500 free, 5:52.43; Sam Ballard, fifth, 15-18 boys 500 free, 5:51.32; Hannah Burton, third, 11-12 girls 500 free, 6:10.12; Hayley Burton, fifth, 13-14 girls 500 free, 6:26.62.
Jessica Fahrenbruch, fifth, 11-12 girls 500 free, 6:30.09; Tim Grunert, second, 11-12 boys 500 free, 6:54.69; Chloe Hearn, ninth, 11-12 girls 500 free, 6:57.94; Ian Murdock, third, 15-18 boys 500 free, 5:32.00; Shaylee Nystrom, fifth, 9-10 girls 200 I.M., 3:26.97; Caroline Suh, fourth, 13-14 girls 400 I.M., 5:32.07 and second, 500 free, 5:58.19.
The meet runs through Sunday.
